Good Morning my loyal readers (however many of you there may be). I apologize for being MIA, I have been busy with work, the gym, and the Hunky Engineer’s band, Grupo Ultimatum (more on them later, I promise). Due to my limited time frame, I am going to keep this post short and sweet. No worries, the Hunky Engineer leaves for Mexico in a week and then I will have two free weeks to write and draft posts for when I am too busy to keep up with them!
My post today is related to how busy I have been. I used to be the kind of person who waited to be invited to things or waited for interesting things to happen in my life. But, over the past year, I have realized that that is no way to live a life. I deserve to have fun and try new things, and those things will not just fall into my lap all the time. I have to go out and explore myself.
Also, I used to be the person who preferred to stay in. Granted, I still prefer to stay in, but lately I have been forcing myself to go out. And, let me tell you, it is one of the best changes I have ever made. I have gone to bars, quinceañeras, and just stayed up past my normal 9:30am bed time. I have been able to wear all of the cute clothes I bought to go out but never actually wore. I have been spending time with my best friends and boyfriend in different environments. I have gotten drunk, I have danced, and I have laughed my ass off time and time again.
So, my advice here is simple: go out. Do the things. You may feel tired or not your best, but I promise that, if you make an effort, it will pay off. I have been the sleepiest girl for the past month, but I do not regret a single night when I lost sleep.
Being a homebody is fine, but go out every so often. Time does not stop for you, so you have to take advantage of what you have.
